Pecorino di Sardegna Piccante

Pecorino is said to be one of the oldest Italian cheeses. Pecorino SARDO is exclusively produced on the island of Sardinia. It is here where numerous flocks of sheep provide the milk for this cheese rich in tradition. The longer-ripened variety called MATURO ages for a minimum of 2 to 4 months and often much longer. Our six-month seasoned Pecorino di Sardegna hard cheese comes with a firm texture and a sharp, salty flavor. Our recommendation: enjoy it as a table cheese as well as for grating to season manifold delicious dishes.
